  5. Is this like a period drama??? I don't really dig aeroplanes, though I don't know much about ones with those propeller things. Is it good? I mean, really good must read stuff? Second opinion please!

Dick was my fave till book four and he went wierd; christina should have given up on men and joined the suffragettes with sandys mum ;)

  8. Thats a funny idea mrsharrypotter, but so awesome! I still prefer Will to Dick, but I prefer Dick to Mark! Anyone else have favourites for Christina?

  9. William all the way. Sorry KM Peyton, but the 3rd and 4th books are bad. Dick, no. Mark, just wrong. William, perfect.

  10. William is perfect! For a start, he wasn't arrogant (mark) he wasn't a wierdo (dick- see book 4!) and he WAS clever, nice, normal and he loved christina despite the fact that she loved horses and all that stuff! Dick gets all woe me in the 1st one, and gets all angry when christina tries to help, but William is always guiding and helping her. Im sorry, its william. End of. He rules! :D

  11. Has anyone thought about why KM Peyton killed William off? Or Sandy? I always think that she killed Sandy off to show the reader how dangerous the flying is, and to prove the point that William could die any day. Its also a bit of drama. But why kill of William? Why didn't KM Peyton make the 3rd and 4th books about Flambards in wartime, Christina worrying for William and Mark out in France? My theory; William was killed off so Flambards and Dick became important again. Does anyone agree? Thanks you all for commenting!

  13. I kinda liked Mark actually... Sorry to upset the Will-fan-clan! I just think that her and Mark had more in common really, William was always going to love flying best. William wasnt bad as such, he just wasnt perfect.

  14. I like the difference in opinion, I was starting to worry that maybe I had biased this post a little bit! Thankyou for your honesty, from RedHead

  15. I was thinking about the Dick vs Mark battle, abd I have changed stance! Will is still perfect, the best guy no questions asked, but Mark is better than Dick in the fourth book especially. The fights between Dick and Mark remind me so much of the Colin Firth/Hugh Grant fights in the Bridgit Jones films! :) Dick is a sympathy character in book 1, but by book 4 he is a mean, cheating...naughty word *ahem*! My new order is Will on top (he is just so lovely!) Then Mark and THEN Dick. From RedHead :)

    1. I agree with the bridgit jones reference, wonder if km based the fights on that movie? (:

    2. The books were written before the films were released. I think you meant that naybe the director based the fights on the books.

  16. I was just re reading this post after writing my Infernal Devices post yesterday, and I have realised that many of my favourite characters are called William! Will Russel obviously holds the title for my fave out of them all, but Will Herondale is a close, gorgeous second with his humour and ability to quote all the many books he has read. There are others in teen rom coms too. Anyone else find more gorgeous Williams they adore? From RedHead :)
