Stolen

Stolen written by Lucy Christopher

You saw me before I saw you. That day in the airport.
It happened like this, you kidnapped me, took me away from everything I knew, took me to the emptiness of the desert and you expected me to love you.

Stolen is an amazing book. It tells the story of Gemma, a 16 year old who gets 'stolen' from an airport and taken away to the emptiness of Australia. It tells of her story as she goes from hating her captor, Ty, to feeling sympathy for him and almost admiring him and loving him. Lucy Christopher has done a great job of telling what would be a scary thriller as an emotional and memorable journey. It's told as a letter. from Gemma to Ty.

What I really loved about this book was how, even after reading it, it stays with you and wont let you forget it. Lucy Christopher tells what would be a difficult story to read in a way that won't let you put the book down.

I won't give away the ending for the benefit of people who haven't read it, but I certainly felt differently about Ty by the end. You'll cry, and you won't wan the book to end in whatever way it does but when you do read it, you'll know really that what Gemma does it was has to be done. It's a breath-taking book and when reading it you can definatley tell that Lucy Christopher spent time in Australia and that she really thought about her characters.

When you read Stolen you will go on a journey. You will discover more to the characters and you'll empathise in ways you never thought you could. I certainly did.

Please read this book because by not reading it you are missing out on something big. I recomend this to 11+ people and you should read it and pass it on to your mates. This book gets a full five golden stars and when you read it, you will understand exactly what I mean.

  7. He is a mix of good and bad really, lucy christopher has written him so well and given him such depth he doesnt fit under one label. I personally think that he has a few issues that if they were sorted would make him a good person.
